These German numbers 0-31 display posters /flashcards create an instant introduction to Numbers 0-31 in German, also giving the learning environment fabulous German look and feel. I’ve found that having new and high-frequency language displays also helps promote German as a living language, featuring in the everyday life of German learners. The posters help students familiarize themselves with how German words ‘look’, and how sounds are represented in the written form. The font is big enough for students to read in various locations in the classroom - I find this really important so that we can get the most out of any particular display - for example we use them for pronunication practice, spelling and mental calculation games at certain points in the lesson.
There are two backgrounds to choose from - German flag or black wave. Laminate or print on card stock - I always do this with my displays - they hang a lot better, and I recycle them for many years.

18 scrumptious breakfast items Displaying key vocab in the language classroom is a really simple and successful way of creating a German ambiance, showing language in its real-world use, and keeping language fresh in students’ minds, particularly in the introductory phase of that particular vocab set. There are 18 breakfast items in this word wall - we may not actually have all the items in our learning plan, but we use them for developing language skills and awareness in general. I’ve used the definite article, a range of masculine, feminine and neuter, singular and plural. We look at cognates and near cognates, and discuss breakfast, and what we like to eat, or we’d like to try - it’s important to use word walls as a real learning resource, not just to use them as a visual display - for example, I use them for vocab guessing games or quizzes, and spelling games. I rotate word walls regularly, ‘going back’ to language we met at earlier points in the school year.
The breakfast items are:
= bacon
= yoghurt
= cup of coffee
= cereal
= jam
= pancakes
= croissant
= waffles
= porridge
= orange juice
= milk
= boiled egg & boiled eggs (useful for looking at singular/plural differences)
= fried egg
= toast
= bread rolls
= syrup
= tea
There are two headers: Guten Appetit! and Das Frühstück- creating their own headers, or adding to the items is a great language learning activity too. There are two cards per 8.5 x 11 (A4) page in landscape format - the words are definitely big enough for children to be able to read from various locations in the classroom. There are two backgrounds to choose from - German flag or black wave. I always print my word walls on robust card stock and/or laminate, because they hang really well, and last for absolutely years!
Have a look at this German Numbers 0-21 word wall which you can download for free - you can check whether its design will suit your classroom - the breakfast word wall is exactly the same design.

25 high-frequency reflexive verbs, 150 conjugation questions, 3 differentiated challenges, answer keys & verb lists My students really like this kind of grammar activity, as they like to work and learn independently, which is a successful way of varying teaching and learning methodologies - I’ve found it’s really important to avoid predominantly teacher-led learning in the languages classroom.
The workbook is really versatile, and ideal for advanced intermediate French and advanced French A students who are working with more complex language and texts, including authentic texts, which feature a broad range of tenses. It focuses on the mechanics of conjugation, rather than usage, and I’ve found that when my students are able to provide the correct conjugation very quickly, and out of a specific context, they feel really confident that their conjugation skills are developing well. I use these kinds of workbooks in lots of different contexts - homework, holiday refresher and revision work, sub lessons and so on. French reflexive verbs can be quite tricky, particularly for students whose first language does not have a similar reflexive verb group.
Though the workbooks focus solely on the correct conjugation of verbs, and does not look at word order in the context of full sentences, there are conjugation patterns that students can learn, recognise and apply, ensuring that their***spoken and written French*** is accurate, and that their understanding of French across the***skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing*** is robust.
The resource has the following structure:
Two alphabetical verb reference lists: French-English and English-French.
Three conjugation challenges, each with 50 individual conjugations:
Conjugation Challenge 1: each verb conjugated in French across a range of pronouns, with students writing the corresponding English verb conjugation.
Conjugation Challenge 2: gives the infinitive of each verb in French, specifying the target pronoun. Students write the corresponding verb conjugation in French.
Conjugation Challenge 3: students write the corresponding French verb conjugation, and its infinitive, from an English prompt.
Notes and Next Steps encourages students to think about where they are now, how confident they feel, and what they might need to work on a little more to be absolutely sure of their conjugation skills.

500 high-frequency English verbs reference book, alphabetically German-English for German-speaking learners of English - a great learning support resource for intermediate English moving into advanced English students, as a verb vocabulary audit and refresher. It’s also really useful for advanced beginner English students, providing them with a language road map with learning goals, outlining the verbs they should ideally know by a specific stage in their learning. We use this as a year-round reference resource, and my students find it particularly useful for exam revision, whether working in class time or at home.
We use the Notes and Next Steps template to think about progress and vocabulary knowledge. Students find this really useful, and do like to map and track their own progress. It can be helpful in guiding and informing whole-group discussion about learning and progress in general, which is a really useful learning activity too - students also note down any new English verbs they learn, enabling them to build a really comprehensive verb vocabulary reference resource.
The verbs are useful for engaging with the following topics and themes:
youth, identity & lifestyle : fashion : culture, customs and traditions
relationships and family : technology and social media : sport, health and fitness : free time, hobbies and interests : entertainment and leisure : food and drink : local, national & international global areas of interest : transport : holidays, tourism and travel : environment, pollution, recycling and climate : social issues : school, college, current and future study : work experience, skills and personal qualities : employment, ambitions and career plans
The reference book has 22 pages - I’ve found the most learner-friendly format is to photocopy double-sided, with two staples down the left-hand side. I also have two additional formats - a 42-page reference book English-German & German-English , and a 22-page reference book, English-German only .

There are five Spanish to Spanish grids, with the Spanish words as prompts. Students then find them in Spanish in the grid. A great way of really consolidating vocab is to get students to complete the word list on the grid sheet too. There are also five English to Spanish grids. With these, the prompt words are in English, so students have to know the correct Spanish word in order to find it in the grid. There’s a word list to complete on these too. As the challenge increases, the words appear in an increasing number of different directions, and students can identify which directions they’re looking for by referring to the arrow key on each grid.

SPANISH VEGETABLES BINGO GAMES #1
SPANISH FOR CHILDREN BINGO BEGINNER SPANISH VEGETABLES BINGO GAMES 100 DIFFERENTIATED BINGO GRIDS AND 40 CALLING CARDS
Files are non-editable in a zipped format. The product is copyright, all rights reserved. It may not be copied, rewritten, amended, shared or distributed outside your own classroom in any way. The license for purchase is a single-user only license. Please read the Terms of Use.
Bingo games are perfect for language learning, and they’re really easy to differentiate. All my students, regardless of age, find playing the games a great way of consolidating their Spanish vocabulary, and developing their Spanish language skills in general - bingo is absolutely perfect for speaking, listening, reading, writing and spelling.
This set includes 100 differentiated bingo grids and 40 calling cards - 20 in Spanish, and 20 in English - I always play with English calling cards too, as I’ve found it’s a really great way of further consolidating vocabulary - students have to focus carefully on the language ‘switch’, and translate what they hear really quickly. It’s definitely useful to have calling cards, so that you can keep track of what you’re calling out, and it also lets students be the bingo caller too, meaning they can play entirely independently of the teacher.
There are twelve Spanish vegetables in masculine, feminine, singular & plural in this set:
the mushrooms
the cauliflower
thee carrots
the lettuce
the cucumber
the tomato
the cabbage
the potatoes
the garlic
the broccoli
the peas
the onions
I differentiate my bingo games by using picture-only cards, which are great for general vocabulary consolidation and recall, and listening skills. There are 40 9-square grids in total, and there’s a set of color (which I sometimes laminate so that I can just get them out whenever I need to - make sure students have wipe-clean pens on their tables!). I’ve also included the same grids in black and white - simply print these out. I sometimes give out pages with four grids on, and let students choose which order they play the grids in - they have multiple pages - or sometimes, I get the students to cut out the grids, place them in a small bowl or similar on tables and they then randomly choose grids - depending on the size of your class, you will definitely have several winners per game. The grids are designed for all the squares to be crossed off in order to win the game.
I also use word-only grids to help students focus more on their reading skills, so I’ve included 40 Spanish word-only 9-square grids, 4 per page (10 pages). There are 20 mixed word and picture grids are ideal for additional challenge and differentiation.

These Spanish colors posters create an instant introduction to a range of colors in Spanish in your classroom. The posters also give the learning environment a fabulous Spanish look and feel, promoting Spanish as a living language, featuring in the everyday life of the classroom. They introduce learners to colors in Spanish from the very beginning of their learning, and they are able to familiarize themselves with both the ‘look’ of Spanish words, and how sounds are represented in the written form.
The key colors are: aquamarine (blue-green); black; blue; brown (both marrón and pardo - I’ve also included castaño, as this is used to describe hair color and eyes for example, which are great topics to get learners talking in Spanish); cream (both beis and crema); green; grey; navy-blue; orange; bright pink; pink; purple; red; white; yellow
Use them as flashcards to introduce and practice language too - it’s a traditional and successful low-tech teaching method, which gives students a welcome break from the whiteboard - varying teaching methodologies in the language learning classroom is always a good idea, and I also encourage my students to take the role of the teacher too, which they find really motivating.
There are two backgrounds to choose from - Spanish flag or black wave, so 38 posters in total. Laminate the posters if possible, or print on card stock, particularly if you’re going to use them as flashcards to introduce and practise language: they’ll hang really nicely, stay in good shape, and you’ll be able to use them for years.

Word searches are a great way of encouraging learners to engage with the written word in Spanish, refreshing and reinforcing language as they complete the grids. These are ten differentiated word searches focusing on the days of the week in Spanish. My students really enjoy practicing their vocabulary with word searches. They like to work independently, either alone, in pairs or in small groups, challenging themselves (and each other!) to progress through the challenges.
Word searches are easily differentiated: there are five Spanish to Spanish grids, with the Spanish words as prompts.
I use the word searches regularly - as starters, refreshers, plenaries, fun-time fillers or activities for sub lessons, at any time during the school year, as well as when I’m introducing days of the week in Spanish.

Sopas de letras are a fabulous way of encouraging students to engage with the written word in Spanish, refreshing and reinforcing language as they complete the grids. This set features ten differentiated word searches, with each consecutive grid increasing in challenge. It focuses on 33 Spanish Christmas words, which I also use as a prompt to stimulate discussion about Spanish Christmas practices and customs, and we talk about what students know about other Christmas traditions around the world. The nouns feature masculine and feminine, singular and plural and both definite and indefinite articles, which is a great way of working on and consolidating those grammatical concepts too.
There are 5 Spanish to Spanish grids, where students are prompted with the Spanish words, and look for them in Spanish in the grid. For additional consolidation, each grid also features an English word list that they have to complete, really putting their knowledge to the test! There are also 5 English to Spanish grids, where the prompt words are given in English, and learners have to find the Spanish equivalent in the grid. For additional consolidation and practice in writing and spelling in Spanish, they also complete the Spanish word list on each page. Students can tell in which direction the words are written by looking at the arrow key on each grid.
There is an answer key for each word search, so that students can check their answers - or use for a little extra help if they need it. Answer keys are absolutely essential for me, as they provide students with an additional opportunity to engage with language, help them develop more independence in their learning.
There’s a Spanish-English Christmas vocabulary reference sheet - you can either laminate this to share around small groups of students, or give one to each student to stick into their learning workbooks as a general reference resource. Students will have to look carefully at some of the words they’re looking for, as they may appear slightly differently - for example, they may have to find the gifts and work out what that is in Spanish - only the prompt the gift appears in the reference list.

Ideal for young and beginner Spanish learners. I like to give my language learners comprehensive core vocabulary books and reference resources. They enable them to work more independently, both in class and at home. This Spanish Telling Time Reference Book has 14 pages, and features every analog clock time in Spanish. There’s a My Notes page too - I encourage students to make notes on their progress, and think about how they are progressing. We also use this to inform and guide whole-group discussion about learning and progress in general, which is a really popular and effective activity too.
I like to give visual vocabulary guides to my young beginner language learners, as they can generally more easily assimilate new language and vocabulary when they are able to link it in their memory with a visual image. It’s particularly important to match a clock time with the corresponding clock face when learning how to tell time. Students file the guides in their Spanish vocabulary folders with other vocabulary guides, which gives them an accessible and useful Spanish vocabulary reference bank for both class and home learning.
For young and / or beginner Spanish learners, I focus initially on a single time set, because in my experience students benefit from a very clear outline of new language and vocabulary, avoiding lots of text on a single page - even my older students who are completely new to Spanish prefer this. When I’m sure that students are confident with o’clock, I then move on to additional time sets.

Ten differentiated word searches, focusing on 25 fruits in Spanish, with each consecutive grid increasing in challenge. The fruits include masculine, feminine, singular and plural, with a blend of definite and indefinite articles - this really helps students think a little more laterally about language, and their new vocab - they may learn la manzana, and it’s useful to give students opportunity to think about grammatical concepts, and how la becomes una for example. There are high-frequency fruits, such as apple or pear, and also fruits which may be new to some learners, such as redcurrant or starfruit. There are a range of phonemes and sounds too, such as the letter j (uvas rojas), which is a sound particular to Spanish, and the letter ñ (piña), as the tilde + n plays a very important role in Spanish pronunciation.
There are 5 Spanish to Spanish grids, labelled with a lemon, where learners are prompted with the Spanish words, and look for them in Spanish in the grid. For additional consolidation, each grid also features an English word list that they have to complete, really putting their knowledge to the test! There are also 5 English to Spanish grids, labelled with a raspberry, where the prompt words are given in English, and learners have to find the Spanish equivalent in the grid. For additional consolidation and practice in writing/spelling in Spanish, they also complete the Spanish word list on each page.
